Our Mission Statement
Angel Telecare, Inc is dedicated to providing products and services that are designed to monitor the well-being, protect, and generally make life easier and better for senior citizens living alone, individuals with disabilities, medically at-risk people, individuals recovering from surgery or a hospital stay and children arriving home to any empty house after school.

How We Began
An employee of a Florida retirement community approached us with a plea to come up with a solution after several alarming events had occurred there:
An elderly woman, whose family had provided her with an alert device she wore around her neck, had taken a shower and forgotten to put the device back on. She walked into her kitchen, slipped, fell, broke her hip, and proceeded to lay there in terrific pain, frightened and helpless for almost 48 hours before a neighbor heard her cries for help. Her family members and neighbors felt terrible that they hadn’t thought to call her within those 48 hours...
An elderly gentleman who had lost his wife several years before was living alone in the retirement community. He passed away and the autopsy revealed that he lay, undiscovered, for 4 days after he had passed. His family was devastated because they spoke to him just the weekend before but were not able to call him every day. Their hectic schedules with their own children and grandchildren had only given them time to call on the weekends. He had reassured them that he was in good health, wanting to maintain his independent living arrangements. |

The family was agonizing over what had happened, wondering if he could have been saved if only they had been alerted that there might be a problem…
The employee told us that these were not isolated incidents, but that instances such as these were happening everywhere in the country, every day. Never having truly thought about it, we were shocked and appalled. Who knew?
Retired and with time on our hands, we felt compelled to help in some way. We researched the marketplace and found many good programs, but none that would have helped necessarily in these two instances. We interviewed dozens of people, the majority of which were seniors, for input and suggestions. One of the biggest problems was that no affordable service was available that actually worked if the person was unconscious or disoriented.
The research led us to the creation of Angel Telecare, Inc’s current services and product offerings - .
- We determined that an automated call check-in service was the answer because it was affordable, effective, dependable and simple for all users.
- The medication reminder call service was added, because we determined that many of the problems with health issues affecting the senior citizens were due to medications not being taken at the times they were prescribed.
- Then, a senior we interviewed mentioned that the call check-in program would really help her daughter with her granddaughter. Her daughter didn’t have time to call from work everyday to make sure her child arrived home from school because, like many employers, hers had a ‘no personal calls’ policy. We added the Latchkey home alone check-in call services to help others in the same situation.
We put it all together the right way and for the right reasons. Our company policies include a 14-day free trial for all month-to-month services, month-to-month services that are subscription-based so that no interruption of service occurs, and a no nonsense cancel for any reason, any time, cancellation policy. We’re not here to hassle…We’re Here to Help!
